Any student, faculty or staff member employed by Texas A&M University is eligible to apply for the Glasscock Cultural Enrichment and Campus Diversity Grant. The purpose of this grant is to enhance the campus climate by nurturing collegiality, diversity, pluralism and the uniqueness of individuals through activities which include things like performances and speakers. This grant differs from the Co-Sponsorship Grant in that the focus is not necessarily strictly a scholarly presentation, but should fulfill the mission of creating learning through activities that foster multicultural enrichment. Active political campaigns will not be sponsored.
Groups or individuals applying should make sure that activities do not discriminate against any individual in the campus community on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, religion, sex, disability, age, sexual orientation, or veteran status. Rather, the activity should foster the principles of academic freedom, equality of opportunity and human dignity. All activities should be free and open to the public. All activities should recognize the Melbern G. Glasscock Center for Humanities Research at Texas A&M in their publicity.
Awards are $500 each and can be used for honoraria, publicity, and other normally reimbursable expenses.
SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS: Complete the application form and include a current two-page c.v. (or equivalent document) for each presenter.
If you do not receive an email confirming receipt of the application from the Glasscock Center by the application deadline, please call (979) 845-8328 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
